From the moment they found out they were expecting, they’ve been overwhelmed with joy and excitement.  Dianne started her expectant mama blog, posting regularly about her experiences with her first-time pregnancy.  She took up knitting and among many things, knitted an adorable set of matching beanies: one for baby, one for dad.  She and Ethan have labored over their DIY nursery, posting pictures of all the crafty little details that would soon make a home for their baby boy, Kaiden.  And all the while, friends and family from around the country (because Ethan’s in the Air Force and is now stationed here in California) have been cheering them on, sending advice and well wishes.

My wonderful friends, Dianne and Ethan welcomed their new beautiful baby boy, Kaiden into the world yesterday.  I knew I wanted to be there to document this beautiful moment for them.  Because I remember the day I had my son, and wished that I had more pictures of the three of us together while in the hospital.  These pictures are so precious, and remind me about what’s so important in life.  Dianne and Ethan, I hope you enjoy these :) And welcome to the world, Kaiden!!

The pictures are beautiful. And your right the stay at the hospital is usually not well documented with pictures. Dianne usually is the one taking pictures of other people's special moments. This is thier special moment, welcoming Kaiden. It was really nice of you to do this for them. =)

Kira, we are finally home and now I no longer have to try and look at these photos from my iphone lol. All I can say is THANK YOU SO MUCH! Oh how I wanted to pack my big camera and attempt to document it myself but having gone through the tiresome labor process I can see now there is no way that was going to happen. These pictures mean the world to me and we are all so thankful :) Once again I must say how talented of a photographer you are. The images are beautiful!!!!
